This video guide will show you how to properly add the Exilva 01-V paste into your barrier coatings formulation.

Steps: 

1. Add first approximately 25% of the total binder.

   It is essential that the Exilva zero one V paste is activated by shear during the process.

2. Add defoamer.

3. Add the Exilva paste as delivered, 1–3 weight percent of the total formulation weight.

4. Grind with 60 milimeter disk, at 2000 rpm for 15 minutes.

   It is important that the tip speed is higher than 6 meter per second.

   You should experience a donut effect with the correct speed and shear.

5. After 15 minutes, turn down the speed to approximately 500 rpm.

6. Add the rest of the binder.

7. Add water.

8. Grind with low shear for 5 minutes.

9. The sample is ready.
